Yu Suzuki's 3D fighter game was pioneering in its time, but it has not aged well. Simplistic gameplay, and the graphics are horrendous in this version (the red mass in Akira's mouth when he strikes his win pose scares the hell out of me) - especially on HDTV or a high-res computer monitor. There's also some jerkiness in camera cuts which leads me to believe the game isn't rendered in true 3D (this is the 32X after all, basically just a slightly souped-up Genesis). If you want to revisit Virtua Fighter I'd look for a good copy of the second game over this one.
