MARIO & YOSHI / Nintendo / NES (1992)

A little puzzler that apparently did OK in Europe but never saw any real U.S. popularity (I didn't even think it was released over here until looking it up for this review), and likely never will. I really feel that we have more than we need of these sorts of "shit keeps falling" puzzle games and there isn't anything really to distinguish this one at this late date and make it worthy of note. The graphics are ugly and the music is really annoying, despite this game coming out very late in the NES life cycle (which leads me to believe it was just a toss-off by Nintendo to try to capitalize on Tetris and make a few extra bucks off Mario's mug).
