KING'S KNIGHT / Squaresoft / NES
This game is all kinds of odd.
First, it's a Squaresoft game, and it's a shooter. Then, it's a shooter with a medevial theme.
You have four guys - a knight, a wizard, a lizard and a thief. But you have to play their levels in that order. And, you only move on to the next guy's level when you die. So it's like, you have four lives but you go on to a completely different level each time you die.
Yeah, and I don't think there's any going back to previous levels, so you have to get it all right the first time.
Presumably each level ends at some point, and allows you to move on to the next guy's level, and you get Good End for finishing it with all four guys, but damned if I know because the game is so cheaply difficult I can't even be bothered to get through one of them.
Yeah, it's not nearly enough fun to put up with all of its problems.
