HOGAN'S ALLEY / Nintendo / NES (1985)

And here's another light gun shooter. You know, more probably could have been done with the Light Gun (see Snatcher for a game that integrates a light gun into an adventure game framework pretty well), but Nintendo pretty much just settled for cranking out a few simple target-shooters towards the beginning of the NES's life and after that very few developers bothered with it. This one has you shooting targets of various nefarious gangsters while trying not to hit the innocent bystanders. If you weren't around for the original, you might be more familiar with this one as one of the mini-games in Wario Ware. Anyway, it quickly gets repetitive, as these types of games tend to do. Presumably, like with Duck Hunt, the Wiimote will be used in place of the Light Gun.
