CAPCOM CLASSICS COLLECTION RELOADED / Capcom / Sony PSP
First off, here's the games to be found in this collection, with links to our reviews where we have them at time of this writing:
Street Fighter 2
Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition
Street Fighter 2: Turbo
Ghosts N' Goblins
Ghouls N' Ghosts
Super Ghouls N' Ghosts
Pirate Ship Higemaru
As for the collection as a whole ... not so good. To get cheats for the games, you earn points through playtime and accomplishments, but then have to take those points to a slot machine that has about as bad odds as one at a real-life casino. It's an incredibly tedious process made worse by the fact that you can't skip the "points loadout" screen whenever you exit a game, even if you don't intend to ever use them.
As far as the game collection goes - basically, a lot of badly outdated quarter-eaters. Nothing on here is even really good except for the Street Fighter games, of which you get Turbo and CE as well as the original (but not Super SF2.) I assume the excellent D&D games and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs couldn't be included due to licensing issues, but there's nary a sign of Final Fight, Magic Sword or Bionic Commando. This collection in general is just way too musty and mediocre and the "extras" suck. The one positive thing I can say is that everything is emulated nearly perfectly, though the PSP screen really does not suit a lot of these shooters with their tiny incoming projectiles.
