KEYSTONE KAPERS / Activision / Atari 2600

You play as a British "Bobby" set loose in a shopping mall, chasing down a jailbird who is slowly making his way to the roof to escape (how does he keep getting out of custody?) The action is somewhat reminiscent of Pitfall in that you'll have to jump the odd errant kickball or space heater, and in later levels shopping carts and RC planes come whizzing at you. The latter of which you have to duck, a rare mechanic for a 2600 game. As 2600 games go it's not bad, but I found it got repetitive quite fast. With the speed at which your bobby charges around, I think it really would have enhanced the game to have him do a sweet and satisfying flying rugby tackle when he finally catches the perp.
